About Us

Break a Leg Studios is a performing arts enrichment organization dedicated to supporting both the arts and the artists who make our community vibrant. Through educational programs—ranging from Opera 101 to Hip Hopera—we aim to make classical music and opera more approachable, enjoyable, and engaging for all.

We are equally passionate about nurturing the next generation of performers. Our newest initiative, Voices of the Pines, is a vocal ensemble for singers in grades 6–12. This program empowers young artists both on and off the stage, equipping them with healthy vocal technique, confidence-building skills, and meaningful performance opportunities.

Rooted in a deep love of music—with a special focus on opera but an appreciation for all genres—Break a Leg Studios is committed to expanding artistic experiences in Moore County. Our growing vision includes the Chiaroscuro Concert Series, welcoming professional performers to the Sandhills; presenting Moore County’s first full opera production; launching the Impresario Opera Book Club; and relaunching our Foundations in Opera courses.
