David Sedaris is coming to The Country Bookshop for his paperback tour of Happy-Go-Lucky!
Today's speaking event is sold out. There are still available signing line tickets. Once ticket sales end you are still welcome to come by for the free signing line, which we expect to begin going through between 5 and 6pm. We will have copies of his paperback books available for purchase.
We appreciate your patience in line while Sedaris enjoys his time with each person. I would advise those with a higher seat number to arrive later. We do expect him to take about an hour to get through roughly 30 people, so please plan accordingly. Sedaris has requested that no photos be taken of him throughout the signing line. We thank you, in advance, for respecting his comfort and refraining from taking photos or videos of him. This is an exciting day, however, so please feel free to celebrate and document the time with your friends!
We will have limited seating available through the line for those unable to stand for long. Public restrooms are available at the Southern Pines train station just a block away. It looks like it will be a warm and sunny day on Saturday, but keep your eye on the weather in case that changes. We do share a block with The Ice Cream Parlor if you happen to need a refreshing snack while waiting. We are also smack dab in the middle of Southern Pines' walkable downtown shopping, so if you arrive early to town we hope you'll enjoy exploring the other shops!
