UNC Pembroke Director of Theater, Dr. Jonathan Drahos, hosts a summer theatre camp like no other. From Portia to Polonius, from Caesar to Shylock - join Professor Drahos and Company as they enrich your talents and familiarize you with Shakespeare's unique genius. The workshop seeks to 'demystify' Shakespeare with a specific approach to acting Shakespeare's unique elevated language. Each participant will be challenged with a selected speech from one of the Bard's plays. The performances will be guided in a fun, exciting, and collaborative environment. After all, Shakespeare was meant to be discovered through performance!
The workshop culminates with a live performance for family and friends on Saturday, July 24.
TICKET/REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES LUNCHES AND SNACKS EACH DAY OF THE WORKSHOP.
