Dickens and His Christmas Carol

The Uprising Theatre Company, producers of the popular “Shakespeare in the Pines Festival,” is pleased to present our third annual holiday production: an inventive re-creation of Charles Dickens’s holiday classic, A Christmas Carol.

Dickens and His Christmas Carol, our original take on this timeless tale, is a more simply staged version of the classic, presented in the spirit of how Dickens himself performed it on his tours throughout Europe and the U.S.-- as a one-man endeavor. 

We will set our stage inside The Village Chapel Pinehurst, a beautiful and historic venue that is sure to further heighten everyone’s experience. As an added highlight, there will be Carols performed at the beginning of the show, generating even more holiday spirit. The entire evening promises dramatically intimate and profoundly moving theatre, deeply rooted in the social and religious spirit of Christmas.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. on December 20, 21, and 22 at The Village Chapel, 10 Azalea Road, in the Village of Pinehurst. General Admission: $25; and Children 12 and Under: Free.
