Jim Caruso's Cast Party with Billy Stritch (BPAC Mainstage Series)

Showman Jim Caruso and Grammy winning musical director Billy Stritch serve up jaw-dropping music and general razzle-dazzle at this memorable open mic variety show. Caruso guides the entire affair with razor-sharp humor and the unbridled enthusiasm of an uber-fan, while Billy Stritch holds court at the ivories. But the real fun starts when the audience participates in the onstage festivities. Theater performers, jazz singers, cabaret singers, and audience members take the stage to entertain each other.

Jim Caruso’s Cast Party with Billy Stritch is a wildly popular weekly Open Mic Night/Variety Show that has brought Broadway glitz and urbane wit to the legendary Birdland in New York City every Monday night since 2003. Caruso and Stritch have taken the show on the road, celebrating talent in London, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Chicago, Austin, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Dallas, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, the Hamptons, Provincetown, Miami, Orlando and Delray Beach, as well as special all-star events at The Town Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center in Manhattan. Cast Party has been honored with thirteen BroadwayWorld Awards, two MAC Awards, Bistro Award, and a Nightlife Award.

***Typically at BPAC events, the theatre doors open for seating no earlier than 30 minutes before the performance. There is no need to arrive extraordinarily early. Know that if you choose to arrive prior to lobby doors opening, there is no place to sit and wait for the lobby to open other than the outdoor benches in Evelyn's Courtyard. All children under 13 must be seated with an adult at this performance. Children under 5 will not be permitted into the theater. Everyone attending the performance, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Any person disrupting a performance or inhibiting the enjoyment of an event for guests may be removed from the theater without refund.
