Join us in BPAC's intimate McPherson Theater for a very special evening with Ukrainian opera singer Alina Cherkasova singing a specially curated set of Italian and Ukranian favorites.

Alina Cherkasova is a concert performer, and voice and piano instructor. She is a laureate of European and International competitions from the USA, Italy, Ukraine, Spain and Austria. She is a graduate from the Odessa National Music Academy (Ukraine) and Dnipro Music Academy (Ukraine).

Back in Ukraine, Alina was the founder of the award-winning charitable organization “Opera vo Blago”( “Opera for boon”). Through concerts of classical music, the organization helped cancer patients, children, the elderly, and animals).

Since March of 2020, Alina and her military husband have made their home in beautiful Aberdeen, NC. She continues a rigorous schedule of charitable performances to support the US military, veterans, and military spouses. Her crowded calendar is full of many more charitable concerts for military families and wounded warriors.

Since March of 2022, Alina received acclaim for four fundraiser concerts for Ukraine, providing medical and humanitarian help to Ukrainians.

Here in the USA, Alina teaches private lessons to an exclusive and varied musical clientele. She is in constant demand as a soloist in several regional churches including Fort Bragg, Southern Pines, and Pinehurst. She has also performed at UNC Pembroke, UNC Chapel Hill,for the Arts Council of Fayetteville and The Lafayette Society.

Among her many passions, Alina is a certified trained volunteer in the Guardian ad Litem Program in Judicial District 19D. She serves abused and neglected children by advocating for their best interests in court.

THEATER DOORS open for seating approximately 30 minutes before showtime.

***Typically at BPAC events, the theatre doors open for seating no earlier than 30 minutes before the performance. There is no need to arrive extraordinarily early. Know that if you choose to arrive prior to lobby doors opening, there is no place to sit and wait for the lobby to open other than the outdoor benches in Evelyn's Courtyard.
