From Debussy to Mozart to Poulenc, acclaimed clarinetist Allan Ware brings a thoughtfully programmed evening of beautiful music to BPAC's intimate McPherson Theater in a FREE concert dedicated to the late Ralph Jacobson.
Allan Ware was born in Raleigh, NC and studied at Davidson College, the University of North Carolina, and the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore. In 1980 he was awarded a Fulbright Grant for two years to study clarinet with Prof. Jost Michaels in Detmold, Germany, during which time he began performing exclusively as a soloist and chamber musician, and has performed hundreds of recitals and solo appearances on the stages of leading European chamber music series.

***In the McPherson Theater black box, the theatre doors open for seating 25 minutes before the performance. The theatre is quite intimate and there is no need to arrive extraordinarily early. Know that if you choose to arrive early, there is no place to sit and wait for the theatre to open other than the outdoor benches in Evelyn's Courtyard.
