Join Meat & Greek and The Sway for a Greek Cruise featuring a four-course meal with items you won't find on Meat & Greek's menu! Ticket price includes all food, wine and beer, plus a special recipe to take home.
First Course:
:: Come with us to the island of Crete for some "kouloukopsomo" — or, in todays easier name, "Dakos" — an appetizer of Barley bread chunks with olive oil, seasoned feta cheese, fresh cherry sweet tomatoes, kalamata olives and red onion diced and paired with a Kritiko white wine.
Second course:
:: We'll move on to the island of Kerkyra, for their "Snapper Lapriak." That's a snapper filet topped with veggies, sautéed in tomato sauce and wrapped with grape leaves then baked. We'll serve it with orzo garbanzo bean salad and pair it with a dry red island table wine.
Third course:
:: We move to the mainland, Athens, Greece, where no one on the streets can escape the smells of meat souvlakis — "kabobs" cooked on open flame grills. We'll serve you chicken thigh and pork tenderloin kabobs over greek fries, and pair it with a mainland beer.
Fourth course:
:: End on a sweet note in Northern Greece, in the Halkidiki region, for sweet cream bougatsa: A farm-style phyllo dough filled with vanilla cream, served with a sweet and spicy fig jam, and paired with sweet Greek dessert wine.
